CYA Swimming Gala

The Swimming Gala in 2023 will be held, God Willing on 2 December at Abbey Stadium Sports Centre, Redditch.

We hope you can join us for our annual Swimming Gala If you haven’t been to the swimming gala before, do bring your youth group along and join us in what is always a very enjoyable evening. There are 28 various swimming races in age categories ranging from 7 to 21+, for both boys and girls. There is also junior and senior relay events.

We start with a free swim this year, so please try to be on time, as if you're late you may miss the free swim! If you only have one or two swimmers, please encourage them to enter, you won’t be alone as many groups enter quite small teams and have just as much fun! If you have too many swimmers, or lots of swimmers all in one age group, please get in touch and we will try to work out a solution. Anyone who wants to swim will be guaranteed a swim! However could we please ask you to make sure swimmers in your team are fit to swim on the day. In particular please note that if someone is swimming in a relay they may be swimming twice in quite quick succession. This pool is a 25m pool.

There is plenty of room for spectators, so please bring the event to the notice of your Recording Brother to announce, as everyone will be most welcome.

There is an entrance charge of a minimum of £2 each for adults and children, swimmers and spectators to cover our costs. A non-returnable 20p piece is required by swimmers for lockers in the changing rooms
